Figurative Language Setting Tone and Mood

Figurative Language Shapes Mood/Tone

Tone and mood can be set perfectly to the enviorment that you want it in. Figurative language allows you to do that perfectly. If you want a romantic tone and a lover mood, the author can compare the setting or person that is lovely with beautiful things of the world. For example, your eyes are stars shining in the sky. This metaphor is a compliment to set a light tone and a romantic mood between the two characters. The tone and mood can also be set to worry, For example, I just got robbed and they took EVERYTHING. This hyperbole may worry people that when our character was robbed, even his bed was taken.

My Poem (The one I chose to take to Class

"How Not To Have to Dry The Dishes"

If you have to dry the dishes
(Such an awful, boring chore)
If you have to dry the dishes
(´Stead of going to the store)
If you have to dry the dishes
And you drop one on the floor-
Maybe they won´t let you
Dry the dishes anymore

(Strongest figurative Language Element: Rhyme)

To the rule keep on and you will get the product,
And you will get the product,
And you will geeeet the product,
Im just teaching you the steps,
Its a very simple concept,
Just follow and you will get the product,
You will get the product,
And you will get the product,
And you wil geeet the product.
