Unknown rules of punctuation and capitalization

Punctuation and Capitalization rules we don't know > grammar

Capitalization:

- You must put capital letter on the title of high rank government officials if their title is put before their name. Do not capitalize the civil title if it's used instead of the name.

Ex: President Obama is running again in 2012.

Punctuation:

- Inside parentheses, periods are only placed inside if the whole sentence is found there.

Ex:  Please read the document. (it is found in attachment A)

- If there is a singular compound noun, possession is shown with 's at the end of the word.

Ex: My mother-in-law's hats.

- You should use the possessive case in front of a gerund.

Ex: Alex's skating was a joy to behold.
