My audience Behaviour(what was it like)

How Did I Behave as an Audience?

How I would call it, is that I need improvement. I talked too much during the conference. That was my problem. I got distracted by everything and I always had to see a comical side to what the speaker was saying. I laughed and talked. Other than that, I did well. For another time, I don’t just need to check my behavior, but I need to check who I sit next to. In MUN, I sat down next to two of my friends, and it was a mistake. We got distracted by everything and made jokes. Next time, I need to be careful.

"For All My Future Projects" Journal

For all following projects, I will meet the deadline and avoid these problems by asking questions in class and making sure I understand the assignment, during class, not during the weekend. I will make sure I have my work done and revised  before close to the deadline and be very sure that it is not left for the last minute.

My "Why I Should et an Uograde Journal"

I need an upgrade on my project because I did not get 4 on every benchmark. I feel like I was lazy when I had a chance to get a 4 on everything or that I did not understand what had to be done to achieve the perfect score. I need an upgrade because I feel perfectly capable of getting the 4, and I did not get it the first time because of misunderstandings. Now I feel totally capable of understanding

The Efficency of the Author´s Techniques (4)

The author uses characterization and plot elements in this book, to form problems
and issues in the book. For example, Suzanne Collins used this by changing
the head peacekeeper´s attitude, and got him killed for trying to defend
Katniss´ best friend. The author showed him as a person that followed
instruction. Then when Gale was getting whiped down, she changed his
attitude and giving him sympathy he defended Gale and got himself killes,
getting all the district worried. I liked this author´s techniques and
the way he went developing the character more, with harder problems.

Comments on my Peers of Character Development

mateo osorio: I liked the way you spotted that love can also
count as development. The way that you spotted the tone and mood,
as well as the development is astonishing because this is not suppose
to be a "cry for book" , but a "get scared" book. THis was a very good
proof that you spotted the tention that Dan Brown wanted to cause
and that you saw the mood formed in sadness for the climax, in which
most people who read this book, think he will die.

Mathias Kling: First of all, I agree with the best authors, but you
missed Anthony Horowitz and Dan Brown. second check spelling!!
Now regarding, the actual work, he should get a 3.5. He is right
that somebody can come to the book and interpret something of it
and then another person that reads it interprets another thing.
He is right that with characterization, that is avoided because
it help you interpret the book, the way the author wants you to.

Ana Maria Samper: WoW. That is all I have to say about this.
She showed a lot of understanding towards these topics, not only
by explaining them, but the examples are mind blowing. If I could, 5.

The Worst Audience Behaviour

In my opinion, the worst audience behaviour is talking. This distracts everyone around you and takes your focus away from the thing you should be paying attention to. It also makes the performer(s) feel like your not interested and makes an awkward atmosphere for them, which can change the quality of their performance.

If I were a God...

If I were a god, schools would not be how they are. I think that homework is not the answer, that there should not be homework because in my opinion the only thing this does, is cause stress, take time away from students, and also cause students to go to sleep very late. I think that after school, students should be socializing, taking a break ftom school. They should play sports or other hobiies that they have. Also, classrooms should have a comfortable learning space; not chairs and desks. Puffs or other comfortable things with lap desks should be the answer.

Evidence of How the Character Eveloped Throught the Book

I read catching fire, in which the main character is Katniss Everdeem. She developed during the book as a woman mentally, emotionally and physically. As she is forced into the games, and understands that all the capitol is trying to do is make the people understand that they can´t overthrow the capitol and also torture the people while they´re at it. Katniss as a child used to think that it was just a game, but she then understands that its no game, its savage. She grows up during this book of the trilogy more than the first book. The trick of her maturity in this book, is that she gets pregnant with Peeta.
She might’ve shown that she had a firm political position, or that she had won the last hunger games and taken care of Peeta and Haymitch; but she got careless with Peeta. They had benn sleeping together for all the time before the games, but the author never mentioned the possibility of a getting Katniss pregnant, although the author let us infer that it was possible because of them sleeping together and Katniss requesting that she wanted Peeta to sleep with her.
The author was letting us predict or suspect that something like that was going to happen. It was also predictable that Katniss and Peeta were going to get more allies other than themselves, even though they told Haymitch that none for the formal alliances. It was suspected that they were going to because Katniss had told Peeta that she would like allies so they could depend on more people other than themselves. She considered that it was very hard to keep Peeta alive when he was injured and she had promised herself that he was getting out, so she wanted as much possibilities to keep him alive as possible.

How Authors Make the reader fell a Certain way towards the Character

The author makes the reader feel as if the character was real, by adding a desired emotion that the author wants the reader to feel towards the character. He makes the character a bully, alone that hates everyone for no reason. This probably would cause hate towards the character. The author could also make a bully, but that tries to make friends without success. A lonely boy with no family would maybe make the reader feel sad for the character. The technique is not only to change the character´s personality, but to change the way he lives and the situation that he is in.
Regarding the elements of plot, the author may expose the character as a popular kid at school, nice, and that does well in school. Later on, he may show a situation that he got in or something that he did in the past which makes you hate the character. He may expose him well, happy, lucky and at the end, it turns out it was a scam, changing instantly the whole feelings toward the character.
Tone and mood are also used by the author. Tone is how the author´s attitude is towards the writing. Mood is the atmosphere given to the book with the author´s words. Like if he uses complex words, that aren’t very bright, the mood may not be very happy. But if the words are exciting and have a flow for the reader, then the mood is bright.

Myth Outline

1.       Exposition: Percy Jones is a 14 year old boy that lives in Valencia, California. He is 2 meters tall, brown hair with blue eyes and he lives with his mother. His father died when he was 3 and he really has no family to lean on. Since his mother is always at work, Percy depends on his best friend, Sam Romy. Sam is a fit, but rather short boy for his age. He is 1.50 meters tall and is captain of the soccer team. They met when they were 6 in elementary school. Percy and Sam both do well at school, but while sam has no problem with sports, Percy sucks at them. He always liked basketball and he finally got into the team last year. The problem with that is that Alex Stan, Percy´s arch enemy, is also in the team. Alex is picked on at home by his foster parents. His real parents left him for adoption when he was 10 so it has really affected him. Everyone thinks that that id the only reason why he is such a bully. He is trying to get back for his mysery.
-          Myth: How people live
-          Character: looks, ambitions, best friend

2.       Rising Action: The problem in this story is that Percy is picked on severely by Alex. He finally got accepted into the basketball team, but Alex got ascended to captain. Percy cant ´concentrate well and isn’t allowed to play much because Alex doesn’t let him. Percy is excluded and gets distracted from his academic work and starts getting in trouble.
-Myth: Examples of how/how not to behave

3.       Rising Action: Percy didn’t get a spot on any game except one of the season. Of course Alex was behind this, so Percy got even more frustrated.  He was losing his mind between basketball, Alex and academic work. He was forgetting about school and only thinking on basketball. This was getting him worried because he tried hard to get his grades up, but his fury against the team stopped him.
-Myth: How people live
-Character: Worst enemy

4.       Climax: When they were in a game, they started out badly and Alex lost it. Percy was worried for the team so he didn’t actually try to get in, because he knew he wasn’t playing well. He was worried and started praying. Finally, Alex blew. He got furious and started screaming at players. That’s when Percy took the lead, and when the coach was calming Alex, he asked if he could play. He didn’t actually ask. He felt a power mass grab him and make him ask. This was Zeus´ work, using the LEGO figure as the power mass.
Myth: Gods
Character: Ambition

5.       Falling Actions: Percy got in the game. He now felt tension because of the others on the team. They were losing by 13 points and Percy wasn’t helping. He had the ball taken from him like thirteen times but thankfully they only scored 2 points. Percy was very worried and started crying. He was thinking badly and wanted to get out. He was about to exit when a voice stopped him. Zeus was pretending to be his conciseness and made him stay. He gave him a godly power which actually made him play well. Percy ended up scoring 16 points and getting the team back on top.
Myth: Gods
Character: Ambition

6.       Resolution: Percy won the captain spot because the coach thought he was much better than Alex. Zeus helped Percy and they kept in touch. He also got Percy´s mom a half time job that paid more than the other one so she got to be with percy.
Myth: Gods
Character: Ambition

Myth Rough Draft2

The Legend of Basketball

Percy Jones is a 14 year old boy who lives in Valencia, California. He is 2 meters tall, brown hair with blue eyes and he lives with his mother. He always liked basketball and he finally got on the team last year.
When this school year started, Percy and Sam immediately tried out for sports. In Sam´s case, he got his place from last year on the soccer team; but in Percy´s case, something happened to him during the summer, and he wasn’t able to regain his spot as defender on the team. Alex, Percy´s arch enemy, won the captain title for the team. Alex has bullied Percy for as long as middle school. Alex is also bullied, but not at school. His parents died when he was 3 years old and he was at a foster home until he was 9. When he was finally adopted, he got foster parents who used him as their maid. He had to clean the house, he had to take out the trash, he made everyone´s bed, and he got them what they wanted at any time. Everyone at school had sympathy because of his parent´s death and the torture that he had now, and Alex takes it out on the weaker kids. Alex bothers Percy by speaking as if not having his dad was awesome. Alex thinks Percy has a father, as everybody else does but the truth was Percy´s father was also dead. He passed away when Percy was 3 years old as well. Percy doesn’t have much to hold on about his father and he really doesn’t remember him, all he has is a “Zeus” Lego figure that his father gave to him when he was 2. Percy treasures this and always has it with him. He feels it protects him, and the truth is it does.
When Percy lost his family, his dad died and he lost his mom to her job; the Greek gods assigned him a guardian. The cache of the deal though, was that Zeus was the guardian. He was the only of the three mayor gods that had never served as a guardian and his two brothers decided that this was the perfect case. Zeus arranged that Percy´s father had gotten the toy for Percy, and especially that it was his action figure. He added a special touch to it so Percy would feel it was part of him, he added his father.
For Sam, the New Year was just going back to school, but for Percy, It was a whole new beginning. He tried to train as much as he could during the summer and tried to smooth out things with Alex. He didn’t really pay any attention to Percy until school. The first day was a living hell for Percy. Alex kept of pushing him to the ground every time they encountered and he kept on telling Percy that he was definitely getting the Captain title. Percy was getting worried that his life hobby being ruined by Alex but then other worries got into place.
Percy´s mother came home that night with bad news for Percy. The factory where she worked was getting shut down. She was now going to get a full time job! Percy wasn’t in the mood to be sad. He was just worried about basketball; after all, he never really see his mom anyway.
When Percy got to school the next day, Alex was waiting at his homeroom. He gave him the game schedule for the trimester, his uniform and a court map. He had an evil grin on his face that scared Percy. He was kind of worried when Alex left; he knew the smile wasn’t a good thing. He didn’t bother to look at his things until his first period. When de did, he noticed he wasn’t set for any of the 9 games except 1!
Percy was furious. He knew he wasn’t playing well but Alex was being a pure bully. The team got to the game very tensely and started losing. Alex was furious and the coach didn’t focus on the game, but of consoling Alex. Percy asked for a chance in the game and it was approved. He got in and started out badly. They took the ball from him 3 times. He was worried and started crying.

Zeus helped Percy with godly powers to get back up on the team and help the match. He ended up scoring 6 points for the team and did very well. It turned out that what Percy needed the most was someone who really paid attention to his troubles and notice that it wasn’t his fault. Zeus had carried that part out. He helped Percy with self esteem and helped him train and gain a positive attitude. Based on his performance, much better than Alex´s, the coach put him as team captain. Zeus also got Percy´s mother a better job that was only half time and paid a little more than the other one did. She ended up having lots of time for Percy and they lived happily ever after.
